TIGER I - Panzer-abteilung 102 en Normandie 1944 (Part 1) Tamiya Réf 35146 1/35

Historique:

Hello friends,
Here is a finished project which represents a Tiger 1 of the s.SS.Pz. Abt. 102, for example that of Will Fey aces in Normandy who alone claims 88 tanks destroyed.

Historical:
With a theoretical endowment roughly equivalent to that of Pz.Abt.101, the 102 arrived late on the Normandy front. July 4th only. On the 10th, the battalion was engaged in the terrible fighting on hill 112, near Caen. Then it suffered from the same wear and tear as the 101, to end its days near Elbeuf, when its last vehicles were abandoned on the left bank of the Seine. During the two months of fighting in Normandy, the battalion destroyed 61 Allied tanks, 34 armored vehicles and 19 anti-tank guns.

The model chosen and the Tamiya tiger end of production Ref: 35146. I added an Edouard photo-cutting board for the ventilation grilles which is sorely lacking in the box.
The compulsory zimmerit with this type of tiger will be carried out with super fine Milliput putty (see tutorial on my blog) and the sortings are carried out with the zimmerit AFV applicator.
Acrylic paint and patina with AK and Mig products.
