Historique: D'une dotation théorique à peu prés équivalent à celle du Pz Abt 101 (42 Tigers) , l'Abteilung 102 arrive tardivement sur le front de Normandie, le 4 juillet seulement. Le 10, le Abteilung est engagé dans les terribles combats de la côte 112, prés de Caen. Puis il souffre de la même usure que l'Abteilung 101, pour finir ses jours prés d'Elbeuf, lorsque ses derniers véhicules sont abandonnés sur la rive gauche de la Seine. Pendant les deux mois de combats livrés en Normandie, l'Abteilung aurons détruit 61 chars alliés, 34 blindés et 19 canons antichars.

History: With a theoretical equipment roughly equivalent to that of thePz Abt 101 (42 Tgers), the Abteilung 102 arrived late on the Normandy front, only on july 4th. On the 10 th, the Abteilung was engaged in the terrible fighting on ill 112, near Caen. It then suffered the same demise as the Abteilung 101, ending its days near Elbeuf, when its last vehicles were abandonned on the left bank of the Seine. During the two months of fighting in Normandy, the Abteilung destroyed 61 Allied tanks, 34 armored vehicles, and 19 anti-tank guns.
